Thank you dearly for this scholarship, as I am extremely grateful. With the rise in tuition and the price of gas, I am grateful for every penny. I am a commuter student, and I drive a round trip of 90 minutes each day. I love Sacramento State dearly and take great pride in my ability to attend school each day. 

I am currently commuting to school over the summer to continue my passion for engineering and raise money for next year's tuition even by working at the machine shop on campus. This money is a weight lifted off of my shoulders.

I am writing to thank you for the A.O.E. Minority and Dreamer Scholarship. I feel honored to be chosen as a recipient of this prestigious award, and I deeply appreciate the support. I am going into my last year of undergraduate studies majoring in Civil Engineering. I have enjoyed my structural and water resources classes the most. 

Following graduation, I plan to continue my studies and pursue a master’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on either Water Resources or Structural Engineering, from Sac State. Receiving the A.O.E. Minority and Dreamer Scholarship has made it possible for me to continue my studies at Sacramento State and ease my financial burden for the upcoming academic year. Your kindness has inspired me to help others and give back to the community one day so that other students like myself will be able to obtain their education goals.

As a student currently finishing my bachelor’s degree while also beginning my master's degree. I am particularly drawn to forensic engineering” a field that is both robust and meticulous. It requires not only a deep understanding of complex topics but also a keen attention to detail, as it involves analyzing and explaining why certain designs or structures may have fallen short and finding ways to enhance them.

By awarding me this scholarship, you have significantly eased my financial burden for the upcoming year, allowing me to concentrate fully on what matters most, my education. Thank you for providing me with this scholarship, which is an incredible opportunity. Hopefully, I will be able to graduate from Sacramento State in either spring of 2026 or fall of 2026. After which, I want to pursue my master’s in artificial intelligence.

I'm currently taking summer classes, so every dollar towards tuition counts, and goes a long way towards ensuring that I am able to pay for my classes and be able to focus on my school work. With the summer classes I am taking right now, I will be able to graduate a semester early.
